The Century Center is the story of a transformation of one of the more unattractive structures in downtown Oklahoma City into a “jewel at the park”. The existing building is perfectly suited for the proposed re-programming of this urban context. The $18M redevelopment anticipates 45,000 square feet of ground floor commercial retail space and 50,000 square feet of Class A commercial office space while expanding the current total of 800 above and below-grade parking spaces with an additional two decks of parking, to bring the total parking of the structure to 1,180 parking spaces.

Pedestrian-oriented mixed-use architecture and urban design is the framework for the proposed design. A perforated stainless steel mesh wraps the existing structure, featuring crisp facets that address the renovated Myriad Gardens to its immediate southwest and the newly transformed streets at Robinson, Main and Sheridan.

The Century Center is a highly sustainable redevelopment in the heart of a revitalized City that reinforces existing urban connections while pairing transparent and activated edges with sensible urban form.
